Tab Trade — The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, that coverage is solid.
The Software
Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works depends on you.
