TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade.com launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection is relevant. It says the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker this new, the breadth is solid.

Platforms

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

FIX API is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That would round things out once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

This is the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it is your call.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
